Das Künstlerbuch „Shadow Work“ (2023) vereint elf Zeichnungen zu einem fortlaufenden Bildraum. Sie treten in eine temporäre Einheit, ohne ihre Autonomie aufzugeben und lassen sich vielmehr jederzeit neu konfigurieren. Die gefaltete Struktur erlaubt variable Präsentationsformen, die je nach Abfolge einen neuen Rhythmus bilden und das Verhältnis von Nähe und Distanz verändern. Schatten erscheint – wie im Titel angedeutet – dabei nicht als Dunkelheit im Sinne des Verborgenen, sondern als feine Abstufung von Licht. In Anlehnung an das japanische Verständnis von Licht und Schatten wird das Unsichtbare und Ungesagte zum Resonanzraum und zum integralen Bestandteil der Wahrnehmung. „Shadow Work“ wird so zu einer beweglichen Architektur der Vorstellung, in der Bild, Raum und Zeit ineinandergreifen.

The artist book „Shadow Work“ (2023) brings together eleven drawings, unfolding into a continuous pictorial space. They enter into a temporary unity without giving up their autonomy and can be reconfigured at any time. The folded structure allows for variable modes of presentation, generating new rhythms depending on the sequence and change the relationship between proximity and distance.
The Shadow, as suggested by the title, does not appear as darkness in the sense of something hidden, but as a subtle gradation of light. In reference to the Japanese understanding of light and shadow, the invisible and the unsaid become a resonance chamber and an integral part of perception. „Shadow Work“ thus becomes a flexible architecture of imagination in which image, space, and time intertwine.
