"V from the series -The taste of superlative and the admirable holiness-" zeigt Ricos feinfühlige Verbindungen und Gegenüberstellungen natürlicher und industrieller Objekte, die sich zu einer ausgewogenen Assemblage zusammenfügen.

The wall piece "V from the series -The taste of superlative and the admirable holiness-" (2019) is composed of three horizontally arranged bars of brass, centrally connected by two vertical neon lines. The white neon tubes each form curved loops to carry the brass bars in a geometric framework similar to a shelf bracket. At each end Gabriel Rico attaches various elements: a knife and a branch with dried leaves, a fishing bait and a rectangular piece of gold leaf face each other, while a plastic bone forms the counterweight of an arrowhead. In the series of works "The taste of superlative and the admirable holiness" the artist uses these different elements to play with principles such as rhythm, balance and harmony to create sculptures that inspire reflection about their relationship through different material characteristics, including size, solidity and texture. External influences such as movements in the exhibition space or different lighting situations are incorporated into the work and affect the materials, which resonate or vary in color. "V from the series -The taste of superlative and the admirable holiness-" shows Rico's delicate connections and juxtapositions of natural and industrial objects that come together to form a balanced assemblage.
