For the exhibition Debutants, Justin Urbach (*1995 in Munich, DE) presents the work BREEZEBLOCKS. This piece is conceived as an extension of the video installation Fractal Breeze, which was presented as his diploma work at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and at max goelitz Berlin in 2023.
In the installation BREEZEBLOCKS, the wafers transition into sculptural objects and carriers of information within the physical space, complemented by additional wall objects. While uncharted in the film, the objects in the exhibition bear body-related data of the performers. This data was collected through MRI scans, 3D scans, and motion capture, and then transferred onto various materials through laser engraving.
