T is an edition of sculptural works made of ring-shaped cast ferrite magnets, each attached to a magnetized fragment, off of which one silver earring dangles. The equilibrium of the circle is put in question, threatening to tip over or roll away and yet still remaining in its place. This confrontation with geometric abstraction, visible in many of Lou Jaworski's works through the reduction of form and color, emerges here in the clear shape of the circle. The minimalist sculpture also refers to the human body through the piece of jewelry, thus putting it in relation to all worldly powers affecting the body. The shape of the sculpture T is a recurring element in Jaworski's work, also embedded in the installation AIRLINES (2020). Each work in the edition is unique, as every individual, broken magnet fragment is precisely attached to each cast ring.
