As the title of the work Green Hydra (2020) suggests, the central motif of the painting is a green three-headed creature hovering in front of a camouflaged background. The hydra is a multi-headed water snake from Greek mythology and a recurring motif in Niko Abramidis &NEs semantics. The artist often combines mythology and technology in his works. In this work, the hydra seems to jump out of an iconic blue box, a pictogram for application programs on screens. Abramidis &NE transfers the symbolism of the Hydra to a dystopian image of modern corporate structures, in which one head doesn't know what the other is doing.
